SENECA COUNTY of OHIO FACT BOARD
FACT is run by a volunteer board of trustees. Meet the volunteers below: Debi Tiell President Cancer has affected our family in many ways and I wanted to get more involved in my community. Because the community has supported my business, Tiell Financial Group, FACT was an organization that keeps all the funds local and helps any family affected by cancer. Clint Clouse Vice President I consider it an honor to be allowed to volunteer my time as a member of the FACT board. Having witnessed the effects cancer has had on members of my immediate family, it is my pleasure to work with the residents of this area in raising funds to assist individuals in Seneca County who have been diagnosed. The support given to our organization by the people of this area is nothing less than incredible. Janice Tschanen Teasurer Being a lifetime Seneca County resident, I feel honored to have been asked to on the FACT board. My family and many dear friends have been affected by cancer and I have seen the need to help those in Seneca County. Having assisted with many FACT fundraisers I am overwhelmed with the response from the community. Thank you to all who have contributed to this great cause. Cindy Walter Secretary I have lived in Seneca County for over 10 years now, I am married and have 6 children and 6 grandchildren. I am part of FACT for several reasons. I have lost family and friends to cancer, I also have family and friends who are survivors, and I want to make sure people who are afflicted with this disease have the support they need in order to survive. Betty Park FACT board member We have done lots to help many people of Seneca County. I will always support FACT as all the money raised stays in Seneca County. Our daughter, Jennifer, is a cancer survivor and that excites me to always help others in our community. My husband, John, and I live on a farm and have three children, Jennifer, Greg, and Jon. We are proud grandparents of eight grandchildren and they keep us busy. I hope we can count on all of your support in the future when a fundraiser comes up on our schedule. God Bless you all. Jessica Rogier FACT board member Being a board member of FACT is such a rewarding experience because we have helped so many in Seneca County that have cancer. As a social worker at St. Francis Home in Tiffin, I realize even more the need for financial assistance when the cost of medical care continues to rise. The support from the community is amazing and it is a great feeling to give back to those in Seneca County when they really need it the most. Annette Hess FACT board member Being a board member is a privilege for me, having always worked in the medical field and having close friends and relatives with cancer. Through FACT so many people can be helped with the financial stresses this terrible disease causes directly in Seneca County, including my hometown of Bascom. I get the honor of talking directly with our clients which has been a valuable learning experience for me. My husband Glenn and I have raised 3 boys Derek, Kurt, and Grant in Bascom, and with this opportunity to volunteer for FACT, I am able to give back to all the kind and caring people of our community. Theresa Scherger FACT board member I am a medical social worker and I volunteer for FACT because I saw a need to help those in our community who are diagnosed with cancer. Many organizations and agencies are involved in research and development. FACT focuses on the person and their families, providing the direct assistance needed to help them in their fight against cancer. Kim Simonds FACT board member I am a registered nurse for hospice and have witnessed the need in our community to help with the cost of cancer treatments. My stepmother benefitted from FACT services and I wanted to give something back. I believe in what FACT represents and how it helps cancer patients right here in Seneca County. Larry Lucius FACT board member I had heard of FACT many years ago, but first learned what it was all about when Debi Tiell did her first polar bear jump. I like the fact that all the donations stay in Seneca County to help cancer victims who are having a difficult time helping themself. I have served on many boards and FACT is the most worthwhile. Renee Hook Honorary FACT board member Karen O’Connor FACT board member I recently joined the FACT family and FACT’s commitment to the community really hits home for me. One of my sisters passed away from breast cancer while my father and another sister are cancer survivors. It is an honor to be able to help those in their time of need. Lois Hoover FACT board member I am proud to sit on the FACT board because like many, I have loved ones affected by cancer. I lost my husband to cancer and FACT helped us. I have lived in Seneca county all of my life, and can’t find another organization where all donations, volunteers' time, knowledge and management stays within the county it supports. I want to give back as much time and help as I can. |
